  • Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are the back four teeth in each corner of your mouth and are usually the last to grow. Did you know that not all wisdom teeth need removal? Some people keep their wisdom teeth their entire lives without issue. However, if cavities or infections form, or if the gums become inflamed, it may be a good idea to have them removed. Our team will consult, X-Ray, and review the health of your teeth and gums before considering a wisdom teeth extraction. For more information about extraction procedures, after the procedure, or wisdom teeth extractions, please book a consultation with one of our professionals!

  • Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges When a patient’s teeth are damaged, often it seems as though they’re beyond repair. Our professionally trained team can help make that smile as good as new again! Dental crowns and bridges is an extremely reliable technique for repairing even the most severe dental problems. Crowns and bridges can last up to 20 years, and it’s our goal to make them look and feel as much like your natural teeth as possible. A crown is a type of dental restoration that fits over a tooth. When a dental crown is used to repair a tooth, a crown covers the entire visible portion of the tooth above the gum line. Crowns can be used to restore teeth following trauma or to replace individual missing teeth. A bridge is a type of dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge uses dental crowns as anchors. A bridge is a permanent restoration that will not be removed. How is a Dental Crown or Bridge Placed? Patients can expect two visits to complete the procedure. First, we remove decay and shape the tooth to fit the new crown. Often, a temporary crown can be installed while the temporary crown is being created. Once the new tooth is created, you’ll return to have the final crown fitted and adjusted. After the crown is cemented in place, you’ll leave with a beautiful, new, and protected tooth. The process for a dental bridge is similar to a dental crown. The difference being that a bridge is anchored to neighbouring teeth. A bridge requires placing a crown on either side of the empty space to serve as post holders for the replacement tooth. The bridge is carefully placed, ensuring that it fits perfectly and is sturdy enough to withstand biting and chewing. Both dental crowns and dental bridges offer an aesthetically pleasing, long-term solution to tooth loss. Patients looking to restore the beauty of their smile or regain the ability to chew and speak normally should speak with their dentist to determine which of these options is best for their needs.

  • Extractions

Often when a tooth suffers significant damage, or risks damaging other teeth or your gums, the best solution may be a tooth extraction. Our skilled professionals are trained to always look at every possible option for saving your natural teeth. Extractions are never our first choice. To save an adult tooth, we consider using fillings, root canals if there is nerve damage, or other options depending on each individual’s situation. However, if decay extends too deep under the gums, severe periodontal disease is present, the tooth is cracked, or an infection can’t be resolved, a tooth extraction is recommended as the best option. Having a tooth pulled is typically painless. Our dentist ensures the area is completely numb, so while the patient may feel some pressure, there’s no pain. Another misconception is that the tooth is “pulled”. Actually, the tooth is gently nudged with pressure until the ligaments holding the tooth give, and the tooth comes out automatically.

  • Fillings

Fillings can help repair damaged, broken, chipped and decayed teeth ensuring that the teeth last longer. Like the name suggests, dental fillings are about filling in unnatural gaps that can arise in your teeth. They can be used to plug large holes in broken teeth or even fix small chips in a front tooth. Fillings are made from material that adheres to the surface of the tooth and contains small particles of synthetic resin and composite. Fillings not only help maintain the natural look of the tooth but prevent and reduce further tooth decay. Fillings typically require only one appointment. Our professionals will numb the area and remove any decay. The space created will be cleaned, prepared, and the filling will be placed. The filling is then precisely shaped and polished to restore the tooth to its original form and function. It’s completely normal to experience some sensitivity to hot and cold immediately after a filling. Rest assured that this will subside shortly. Are you nervous about getting fillings? Don’t be! Our team provides a comfortable and stress-free procedure. Contact us to learn more.

  • Root Canal Therapy

When a cavity decays deep inside the tooth, it can often allow bacteria to irritate the nerve. This can be quite painful, and the only way to save the tooth is a root canal treatment. Often referred to as endodontic treatment, this procedure removes infection from the innermost part of the tooth, thoroughly cleaning the chambers and root canals, and finally filling and sealing the canals. Our professionals will identify if a root canal is necessary through consultation and x-rays. Patients will receive a thorough walk-through of the procedure, including potential complications and alternate treatment options if they’re available. Patients can expect treatments to take up to 2-3 visits, however there are times when treatment is completed in a single sitting. For most people, the thought of a Root Canal can be quite frightening. Don’t be scared! Our expert team is trained to perform a typically pain free procedure, with minimal discomfort afterwards. Eliminating unwanted tooth pain and saving your tooth is our top priority. Do you have tooth pain? A consultation with our dentists will help you discover the cause and treatment, leading you down the path to a painless, healthy smile.

This allows you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. You also don’t need to worry about loose dentures. Replacement teeth are handcrafted by our expert technician in alignments that match your individual needs for each site. They're made from Titanium – a bio-compatible material - which means their surfaces allow fusion without any allergic reactions (just like natural bone). Many important factors are considered in the success of dental implants, such as your general health, oral health, whether you’re a smoker or not, and the amount of bone available at the site.
